Keno Odds
The best way to figure out the odds of winning at Keno is really understand how to play the game. Keno is a lottery type casino game with a card used in each game that has numbers 1 through 80. During each game you will be picking a certain amount of numbers that you feel are going to be randomly selected. You can chose between 1 and 10 numbers for each game. There will be 20 numbered balls called in each game. Keno can be played live, online, on a video screen, a digital board or a paper board, similar to a bingo card. As each number is called it will be displayed generally on a video screen and for every number you pick that gets called you get a ‘catch’.
Now, on to the part you really want to know about, what are the odds of the numbers you have picked being called? Well that really depends on how many numbers you pick and the amount of numbers you are able to pick for each game. Some casinos, either live or online, will have a 6 spot game but most have a 10 spot. That means in the 6 spot game you may choose 6 numbers while in the 10 spot version you choose up to 10 numbers. You also have a choice about how much money you will pay for each ticket. Some Keno games will have a $1 ticket while others will let you play $3 or more per card. The more money you spend on the card the more you stand to win if your numbers are picked.
The chart below lists the actual probabilities of you ‘catching’ the numbers you have selected on your Keno board. These Keno odds are based on a standard 80 ball game with 20 balls drawn per game.
